From my perspective, psychological skills and methods developed solely within Western societies cannot, on their own, fully address the psychological suffering of a Muslim. Why? Because many of these approaches do not take the spiritual dimension of human experience and behavior into account. They also leave little or no room for the principles of Islamic psychology—and, most importantly, for Allah ﷻ, the Creator of the universe.
Another important aspect is that Muslim women may sometimes adopt traditional or culturally influenced role models, believing that they represent religious obligations. Yet, in many cases, these expectations do not necessarily reflect Islamic guidelines, but rather stem from family, cultural traditions, or societal expectations.
